If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage business partner, network administrator, or Sage customer support analyst.To export your records from Sage 50 Pro, Premium or Quantum follow the following steps:
- Click File
- Click Import/Export
- Click on Export Records
- Choose the option to Export records to a Sage 50 import file format and click Next
- Choose the type of record you wish to export. (Note: you can only export one record at a time)
- Give your file a name you can recognize easily
- Click on Browse and choose a location to export your record to.
- Click on Next
- Select the items you want to export by selecting them one at a time or clicking on Select All
- Click Next and then OK
- It will prompt you to click on Finish once it has finished exporting your records.
To import your records back into a Sage 50 Pro Premium and Quantum company file, follow the following steps:
Note: If you already created a company with an existing chart of accounts, Sage 50 will not allow to import your accounts unless you are working on the Accountant's Edition. If you have not yet created a company and want to import your accounts, you will need to choose the option Have Sage 50 create a list of accounts from an export file. then select Sage 50, browse to the export file during the company creation wizard on New company Setup, Step 5, List of Accounts.
