How to create backups automatically

Summary

Set up reminders to back up your Sage 50 Accounting company data automatically and create a regular backup schedule.

Resolution

  1. Go to Setup, Settings, Company, Backup.
  2. Check the option for Automatically back up this file.
  3. Change the backup frequency from Monday to Daily.
  4. Select Browse and select the folder you want to save your backup files.
     TIP: Create a folder called Sage Backups on the c:\ or on the server. Point the backup path to this location. 
  5. OK.

 NOTE: Automatic Backups only trigger in Single-User Mode and when you close the file for the first time each day. If you reopen the program later the same day, the automatic backup won't run again.
