Error: "Pending or failed transactions", when starting a new year

Resolution

Method 1

  1. Go to Maintenance, Unposted Transactions
  2.  To re-post the transactions select the transactions then click Open
  3. To discard a transaction select the transaction then click Discard
  4. Close the Unposted Transactions window
  5. Go back to Maintenance, Start New Year

Method 2

  1. Go to Setup, Settings, Company, System
  2. Remove the check mark at the bottom for Fast Posting
  3. Go back to Maintenance, Start New Year

Method 3

Restore from backup prior to not being able to advance fiscal year and follow the above methods.

Method 4

  1. Follow the KB article 10350 "Transactions are not being processed (posted)" in the Related resources.
