Description

Resolution

CAUTION: This solution needs advanced Operating System knowledge. Consult your system administrator for help. Sage isn't liable for issues caused by improper changes to the Windows Registry. Always back up your data before applying advanced solutions.

Note: Most MAPI issues have been fixed in 2016.3, please install the latest version of the software.

1. Confirm you are on the latest accounting version.

  1. Open Sage 50
  2. From the Splash screen,
  3. Open a "Sample" or "Recently used company"
  4. Under Help > About Sage 50.
  5. Confirm the version of the software.

2. Sage 50 does not support emailing issues from cloud versions of email clients.

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click Default Programs, and Set program access and computer defaults.
  3. Expand Custom.
  4. Under Choose a default e-mail program:, select your email program.
  5. If you can't see your email program, then it is either:
    • A: Not a full email program but rather a cloud based email program.
    • B: The MAPI 32 component in Microsoft Windows is broken see Additional Information.
      • Either way, please contact Microsoft Support for a solution.
      • Sage Support does not provide assistance with third party solutions such as email programs.
      • You may opt to use a different email client instead of the current one, follow Article ID 11105 Emailing invoices in Windows 8 with Windows Live Mail, in Related Resources.
