Summary
It's not possible to downgrade an existing file to a lower edition of Sage 50 Accounting. Upgrade to a higher edition or create a new company file.
Description
- When creating a company file, it can be in any of the following editions:
- Pro
- Premium
- Quantum
- With the Accountant's Edition, you can open any of the editions
- It’s only possible to open files coming from the same edition or a higher edition. For example:
- Pro data file requires Pro, Premium, or Quantum
- Premium requires Premium or Quantum
- Quantum requires Quantum
Resolution
Choose one of the following options:
Upgrade to a higher edition of Sage 50
For example, if you're using Sage 50 Pro but the data file is in Premium, upgrade to Premium or Quantum.
If you're interested in upgrading your Sage software, leave your details, and a Sales advisor will be in touch.
Create a new company file
- Create a new company file in the edition that you have.
- Export records from the original file to the new one.
- You can export accounts, employees, inventory and services, customers, vendors, projects, and the chart of accounts
- Transaction details won’t be transferable
