Remote Data Access (RDA) file isn't showing on the download list

Steps to resolve an issue when an RDA file isn't showing on the shared companies list in Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

Try the following options to resolve the issue:

Log in with the correct email address

  1. Open the file as sysadmin in single user mode.
  2. Go to Setup, Set Up Users, and enter the sysadmin password when prompted.
  3. Select the user that's having an issue and click Modify User.
  4. Make note of the user email address and close the window.
  5. Go to File, Connect to a Shared Company.
  6. Follow the prompts until you get to the shared companies page.
  7. Select Log in as a different user at the top.
  8. Log in with the email address for the user with the issue.
  9. Verify that the company file shows on the list.

Reconnect the data file to Remote Data Access

  1. Log in as sysadmin with sysadmin's email.
  2. Go to File, Save As, and enter a new file name.
  3. Open the file that you saved.
  4. Go to Help, About Sage 50, Support Info.
  5. Select Reconnect and follow the prompt to enter the current sysadmin's email.
  6. Go to Setup, Setup Users, and click Share.
  7. All other users will have to download the new file as well.
  8. On the other computer where the file was opening without issues, open the old file and stop sharing.
