Prompted to install the update with no option to cancel

Turn off automatic updates to prevent your computer from installing new Sage 50 Accounting updates automatically. You can also use these settings to turn on updates.

 NOTE: If you already have the pop-up message on your screen, install the update and close the program. You can continue to work in the previous version as long as you don't convert the data file. 

To turn off the option to install updates automatically

1. Open your Sage 50 data file.
2. Go to Help, About Sage 50.
3. Click Support Info.
4. Click Modify Product Update Settings.
5. Remove the checkmark from the Automatically Install Product Updates box.

To change product update settings

1. Go to Help, About Sage 50.
2. Click Support Info.
3. Click Modify Product Update Settings.
4. Select the appropriate options in the Product Update Settings dialog box.
