How to enter payroll taxes manually

Use the Paycheque Journal in Sage 50 Accounting to enter, modify, override or adjust payroll taxes.

Still need tax deduction figures? Visit the CRA Payroll Deductions Online Calculation (PDOC) website or call 888-261-9610 to subscribe to a payroll plan with automatic calculations.

Resolution

  1. Open the Paycheque Journal.
  2. Click the Enter Taxes Manually icon at the top of the journal.
    Paycheques Journal window. Shows the icon on the toolbar to select to enter taxes.
  3. Adjust tax amounts in the Taxes tab to match the Payroll Deductions Online Calculator Net Pay with the Sage 50 Paycheque Net Pay amount.
  4. Click Process when you agree with the values.

 NOTE: This option is only available in the Paycheque module. You can't change taxes manually in the Payroll Cheque Run module when paying multiple employees at the same time.
