My custom forms are no longer printing after updating Sage 50

Description

  • Sage 50 release updates could possibly remove the customized forms if they are located in the default folder:
  • C:\Program Files\Sage 50 *** Edition\Forms or C:\Program Files(x86)\Sage 50 *** Edition\Forms.



Cause

  • During the update, the Sage 50 database misplaces the location of the custom forms

Resolution

  1. Browse to the default Forms folder in C:\Program Files\Sage 50 *** Edition\Forms or C:\Program Files(x86)\Sage 50 *** Edition\Forms or do an extension search for .sfm files in Windows.
  2. Copy the customised forms and paste them in a folder on the local drive eg. C:\Sage or C:\Sage 50 Forms.
  3. Install the new release.
  4. Find out where your custom forms were stored.
  5. Select Setup, Reports and Forms to locate form name.
  6. Select User Defined form.
  7. Browse to the form.
  8. Select OK.
