How to download and install updates manually

Summary

There are two ways to download and install updates manually in Sage 50 Accounting. The first option is to check for updates in the program. The second option is to download the update from the Download Portal.

Resolution

Check for updates in Sage 50

  1. Go to Help, Check for Product Updates.
  2. You'll get a message "An update to your Sage 50 solution has been downloaded. Do you want to install the update now?".
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Close Sage 50 to start the installation process.
  5. When the installation is complete, you’ll see "Installation Successful".
  6. Leave the default checkmark in the box to Open Sage 50.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Upgrade your company to the latest version.
    • When you attempt to open the company file, it will prompt you with the Upgrade Company wizard
    • Follow the prompts to get your company upgraded

Download the update from the Download Portal

  1. Download the current update. 
  2. Follow the step-by-step installation instructions.
