Allocating transactions to projects.
- Account is not set to project allocation
- No security permissions to access enabling of project allocation
Main Step:
- Under Company, click on Accounts.
- Double-click the account that will be used in the transaction.
- Add a checkmark to Allow Project Allocations.
- Save and Close.
For Invoices:
- Fill in the information for the invoice and then click on Project Column at the end of detail line.
- Select the Projects where amounts should be allocated and put the proper amounts or percentages.
- Click OK to save.
For General Journal:
- Open General Journal window.
- Enter the accounts to be debited and credited with respective amounts.
- Under the "Allow" column, double-click.
- Or click on the blue checkmark on the top right
- In the Project Allocation window, click on the magnifying glass to select the projects.
- Enter Amount or Percentage
- Click OK to save.
- Post.
For Payroll Journal:
- Open Payroll Journal window.
- Fill in all related information.
- On top right corner of Payroll Journal screen, click to allocate the amounts.
- Select the Projects where amounts should be allocated and put the proper amounts or percentages.
- Click OK to save.
