When creating a new company in Sage 50 Accounting - Canadian Edition and at the end of the new company setup, a message occurs reading, "Sage 50 could not create a new company file because the template folder, BLANKDB, is missing from the local installation folder – C:\Program files (x86\Sage 50 Premium Version XXXX (XXXX referring to year of the program user is working with) Please reinstall Sage 50 to restore this folder and all required files"
- BLANKDB file is missing from the path listed in the error message
- Firewall and / or anti-virus program may have interfered with the original installation
- Temporarily disable any firewall / anti-virus program
- Re-run the Sage 50 Accounting installation selecting the option to reinstall program
- Verify error is resolved
