Sending reports to Excel takes a long time

Update the report settings to resolve the issue when exporting to excel takes too long in Sage 50 Accounting.

Run Sage 50 as an administrator

1. Close Sage 50.
2. Run Sage 50 as an administrator.
3. Open the company file and verify you can now export reports without delay.

Exporting large reports

1. Open the report and click Modify, then Report options.
2. Change the Start and Finish date to be smaller in range.
3. Verify that it's quicker to export.

Exporting reports with four lines

1. Click Export.
2. Click Save as type at the bottom, change it from Microsoft Excel (*.xlsx) to Microsoft Excel 97-2007 (*.xls).
3. Verify that this is quicker.
4. If not, keep changing the export formats until you find something that’s fast to export.
5. After exporting, check the format to make sure it looks good.
