Summary

Setting up tax rates for GST and QST for Quebec in Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

Go to Setup, Settings, Sales Taxes, then Taxes.
The Tax column must have two taxes: GST and QST.
Set Exempt from this Tax to No.
Set Is this tax taxable to No.
Set Report on taxes to Yes.
Select Tax Codes from the menu on the left.
Click the magnifying glass next to the tax code.
Ensure the rate is 5% for GST and 9.975 for QST.
Select Yes in the Is Refundable column.
