How to overwrite shared data on Remote Data Access

Summary

If you Overwrite Shared Data in a non-shared copy of your company file in Sage 50 Accounting, it will replace the currently shared file.

Resolution

  1. ​​​​​Go to File, Remote Data Access, Overwrite Shared Data.
  2. Or go to File, Remote Data Access, Share, then select Share.
  3. Read the warning "I understand the consequences.." and click the checkbox.
  4. Click Continue when ready".

 NOTE: If you overwrite shared data in a non-shared copy of your company file, it will replace the currently shared file.
