Printing T4s on preprinted paper isn’t aligning with the boxes

The T4 printing from Sage 50 Accounting isn’t lining up with the form downloaded from the Canada Revenue Agency’s Website and is overlapping.

Description

Sage 50 offers two T4 form types. Select the correct form under **Setup, Reports & Forms** if there's a misalignment. Sage 50 can also print the form on plain paper with filled numbers as an alternative option.

Resolution

Verify the correct form is selected

  1. Go to Setup, Reports and Forms from the main menu.
  2. Choose Government Forms then Federal Payroll.
  3. Ensure the Form Type lists the Pre-printed laser & inkjet form.

 TIP: In the Print options box, select Fit to Printer Margins in the print scaling to allow the boxes to be large enough. 

Print to Plain Paper instead

  1. Go to Setup, Reports and Forms from the main menu.
  2. Choose Government Forms then Federal Payroll.
  3. Change the Form Type lists the Plain-paper laser & inkjet form.
