Use the Company File Check & Repair utility (Sage_SA_DBVerifier.exe) to repair data corruption issues in Sage 50 Accounting.
- Make sure Sage 50 is open.
- Go to File, Properties, and note the name and the location of your file.
- Close Sage 50.
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Select Programs, then Sage, then Sage 50 that corresponds to the version you’re currently using.
- Click Company File Check & Repair.
- When the next window appears click on the browse button and navigate, to the location you noted earlier.
- Once you find the file, double-click on the company file with the SAI extension. The file is 1kb in size and the file type is Sage 50 Data File.
- Select the option for Advance check & repair.
- Be patient as this takes a few moments depending on the size of your file.
- As the utility is working, if it finds errors it will prompt you to fix them.
- Click Yes to fix.
- Once the task is complete, you'll see the Company File Check & Repair window again.
- The Company File Check & Repair is now complete. Click the X button to close.
