List of locations and reports for locating linked accounts in Sage 50 Accounting.
Resolution
NOTE: Make sure the modules aren’t hidden.
Use the wizard to look for the account
- Go to Setup, Wizards, Linked Accounts.
- Click Next to review all the modules until you locate the linked account.
- If you need to delete linked accounts, highlight and select the Backspace on your keyboard.
Manually find the linked accounts
Customer and Vendor Records >> - Go to each Customer and Vendor record.
- Open the first Customer / Vendor.
- Go to the Options tab.
- Customers will have a revenue-linked account and vendors will have an expense-linked account.
- Use the by-directional arrow to advance to the next Customer / Vendor.
Payroll Income and Deductions >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Payroll, Linked Accounts, Incomes.
- Check the accounts in Principal Bank, Advances & Loans and Vac. Owed.
- Use the Linked Accounts column to see the payroll expense accounts.
- From the menu on the left, select Linked Accounts, Deductions.
- Check the Linked Accounts column for the payable account.
- Review the bank account in the Payment Adjustment Account column for Remittance module adjustments.
Payroll Expense Groups >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Payroll, Linked Accounts, Expense Groups.
- Select each expense group and view the linked accounts.
Inventory List Report >> - Go to Reports, Lists, Inventory & Services.
- Check both boxes for Include inactive items and Include internal Service Activities under Report Options.
- On the left side of the Modify Report window, click Report Columns.
- Select Custom Report column settings.
- Under Column Name, select Asset, Revenue, COGS, and Variance.
- Click Add, and OK to view the report.
- Look for the linked accounts.
Company Sales Taxes >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Company, Sales Taxes, Taxes.
- Verify the accounts in the Acct. to track tax charged on sales column.
Credit cards >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Company, Credit Cards.
- Select Used and check the Payable Acct and Expense Acct columns.
- Select Accepted and check the Asset Acct and Expense Acct columns.
Bank Reconciliation Setup >> - Go to Company, Chart of Accounts.
- Go into the Bank Accounts that are set up for Bank Reconciliation.
- Go to the Reconciliations & Deposits tab.
- Click the Set Up button.
- Look for the linked account.
Customers & Sales (Receivables) module >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Customers & Sales (Receivables), Linked Accounts.
- Select Invoices and Receipts and view the linked accounts.
- Select Delivery Orders and view the linked accounts.
Vendors & Purchases (Payables) module >> - Go to Setup, Settings, Vendors & Purchases (Payables), Linked Accounts.
- Select Invoices and Payments and view the linked accounts.
- Select Goods Received Notes and view the linked accounts.
Inventory Records >> - Go to Inventory & Services.
- Select Inventory & Services and double-click an inventory item to open it.
- Select the Linked tab to see and change the linked accounts if needed.
- Use the by-directional arrow to advance to the next inventory item.
