How to solve the issue of transactions not posting or processing in the Quantum version of Sage 50 Canadian Edition.
- Ensure that all the workstations and servers use the latest release of Sage 50.
- Go to the computer or server that stores the data.
- Ensure all users are closed out of the Sage 50 data file.
- Disable the Sage 50 Transaction Manager from your Services list.
- Go to services.msc
- Scroll down to the Sage 50 Transaction Manager 20XX* - CDN
- Right-click on it and go to Properties
- Change the Startup Type to Disable
- Right-click on the Sage 50 Transaction Manager. Click Stop.
- Browse to the location where the data is stored. Ensure the SAJ folder doesn’t contain the process.pid file.
- Ensure that all data files are closed.
- Terminate the Transaction Manager if it’s running.
- Open the Task Manager by right-clicking on it
- Go to the Processes tab, enable show processes from all users, and end all mysqld.exe or mysqld-nt.exe processes running
- Terminate 'Sage_SA.Transaction Manager.exe' if it’s running
- Open your company in Sage 50 in Single-user Mode.
- You’ll get the message "Transaction Manager isn’t running". Click Yes or OK.
- When you get the message 'There are some unprocessed transactions', click Yes.
- You can now Post or Discard the unprocessed transactions.
- Enable the Sage 50 Transaction Manager on your Services list.
- Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services
- Scroll down to the Sage 50 Transaction Manager
- Right-click on it and go to Properties
- Change the Startup Type to Manual
- Reinstall the latest version of Sage 50.
- Re-try posting the transactions.
