The Select Company window is missing

Change the .ini file

1. Open the Windows File Explorer.
2. Click View at the top and check the Hidden items box.
3. Go to C:\UserProfile\AppData\Local\Simply Accounting.
4. Open the simplyxxx.ini file. If you see more than one .ini file, open all of them.
5. Locate this line: SelectData=0.
6. If it has a number (for example, SelectData=1), change the number to 0.
7. Save and close the .ini file.
8. Open Sage 50 and verify the Select Company window appears.

For Accountant's Edition only 

1. Open the sample company.
2. Once the company file is open, go to View.
3. Click Select Company Window at Startup.
4. Close Sage 50.
5. Open Sage 50 again and verify the Select Company window appears.
