Modifying tax returns

You've discovered an error on a tax return and want to correct it.
Common issues include:

• Incorrect transactions
• Amounts
• Receipts
• Payments
• Refunds
• Bank transfers
• Wrong date or tax period

The correction method depends on whether you filed the tax return.

Go to Reports, Tax Returns.

Edit a Draft tax return

1. Open the tax return saved as a draft.
2. Make the required corrections.
3. Save the updated tax return.

Once you file the tax return, Accounting doesn’t permit you to edit it. You can only record a payment or create an amended tax return.

Delete a Draft tax return

Select the trash can icon to delete it.
