How to assign Analysis types, such as departments, cost-centres, and projects, to an invoice or transaction in Sage Accounting.
Create a Transaction Analysis type

Assign the Analysis Type to a Transaction (Invoices, Receipts, Payments, Journals)
From Invoices or Credit Notes (Sales or Expenses)
- Complete the invoice before saving.
- Click the kebab icon on the far right on the transaction line.
- Choose the relevant Analysis type for that line.

From Other Receipt or Other Payment
- Activate the analysis for receipts and payments.
- Select the relevant project category in the new fields.

From Journals
- Activate the analysis for journals.
- Select the relevant project category in the new fields.

Filter Information in Reports
- Go to Reporting.
- Select the report.
- Click More.
- Choose the project under Analysis Type and select the category.
