Summary
This article outlines the steps to invite your client to create a Sage Accounting account, which will be linked to your Sage Accounting Accountant Edition.
Resolution
New Clients
- Sign in to your Accounting Accountant Edition.
- In the Active Clients tab, click on Invite Client.
- Fill in the appropriate information, and click on Next.
- Select the correct service for your client, Accounting or Accounting Start.
- Click on Subscribe, then Next.
- Please verify the client's name, email address, and service on the confirmation page. Click on Invite Client.
NOTE: If you select the option to set up the account on your client's behalf, you will receive the invitation to create your client's account. After the account is created, your client will appear in the Active client's tab, where you can access the account by selecting it from the list.
Existing Clients
- Sign in to your Accounting Accountant Edition.
- In the Active Clients tab, click on Invite Client.
- Select Yes - Client pays for Subscription
- Fill in client information
- Under Invite my Client, select Try Sage Business Cloud Accounting.
- Under Invitation Format, select Send the invitation to my client. Select the correct service for your client, Accounting or Accounting Start.
- CAUTION: Selecting the Invitation Format, (Accounting or Accounting Start), does not create a new subscription
- Click on Subscribe, then Next.
- NOTE: Once this process is completed, your client will receive an email invitation to start using Accounting. Until the client accepts the invitation, they will appear in the Invited client's tab within your Accounting Accountant Edition.
- The client will receive a confirmation email.
- On the confirmation page, the client will need to select Sign In
- The client will need to fill in the requested information and login with their email address and password
This will complete the process, and the client will appear in your Active client tab.
