You can update customer and supplier records by importing a CSV file.
To update existing records, your file must contain the Unique ID for each contact. Export your customer or supplier records first to include these IDs. This helps Sage Accounting identify existing records and prevents duplicate contacts.
To create a new customer or supplier during the import, add a new row and leave the Unique ID field blank.

Export all customer or supplier records. See the article Export customers.
Open the exported CSV file.
Make your required changes. Ensure each Reference is unique.
To add a new record, create a new row and leave the Unique ID field blank.
Save the file.
TIP:
You can import only one contact person per record. Add additional contact people manually after the import.
Import the updated file
From the navigation bar, select Contacts.
From New customer or New supplier, select Update Customers or Update Suppliers.
Drag and drop your file, or select Choose, then Upload file.
Choose how to handle empty cells in the CSV file.
Select Continue.
Review the import summary.
Select Start import.
Result
When the import finishes, Sage Accounting updates existing records and creates any new records that have a blank Unique ID field.
