How to accept payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone
Description

The Tap to Pay on iPhone feature allows businesses to accept payments using Stripe, directly through the Sage Accounting mobile app.

Before you start

  • Link a Stripe account to your Sage Accounting business
  • Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone for your account
  • Ensure you're using the iPhone XS or newer with iOS 17.4 or later
    • Update to the latest version on your iPhone by going to Settings, General, Software Update
    • Tap Download and Install

  • Tap to Pay on iPhone is available as a payment option directly on invoices
  • We don't accept Other Payments yet

Access Tap to Pay on iPhone on an invoice

  1. Open an existing invoice in your Sage Accounting mobile app.
  2. Select the Tap to Pay on iPhone button to enable card payment for that invoice.

Complete the transaction

  1. Present your iPhone to the customer.
  2. Your customer holds their device above the contactless symbol atop your iPhone briefly.
  3. When you see the Done tick, the card read is complete and the system processes the transaction.
  4.  

    The system will automatically update the invoice status to reflect the payment after processing.
