The Reset Data option permanently removes all information entered into Accounting. Use of the Restore data function will result in permanent loss of current data. Seek assistance if you’re unsure of the options presented.
When to use the Reset Data option
You entered dummy or practice information during a trial period and now want to enter real company information.
You made errors when entering accounting information, and you want to start again.
Who can reset data
Only the business owner can reset or restore data. The business owner is the person who originally signed up and has access to all areas of the service.
Before you start
Print any reports or note any information you need, such as customer and supplier details, and transaction details.
Disconnect any bank feeds. You’ll need to reconnect after you reset your data. If you have set up bank rules, export them first and then import them again after resetting your data.
Reset your data
Go toSettings,Business Settings, and thenData Management.
ClickReset my Data.
Enter the email address you use to sign in to your Sage service. ClickReset Data.
Restore your data
You can restore your data if you reset it in error or need to check information before resetting again. Restoring data returns you to the point immediately before you choose theReset Dataoption.
Go toSettings, thenBusiness Settings, thenData Management.
SelectRestore my Data.
Enter the email address you use to sign in, then selectRestore Data.
Other Notes
You can’t restore data from another Sage service, such as Sage 50.
You can’t restore data if you changed your subscription or plan. For example, you can’t restore data created in Accounting into Accounting Start
Although you can’t restore from a previous service, you can still reset your new service and start again
