Reconciliation list

  1. Go to the Banking menu. Select your bank account.

  2. Select the Reconciliations tab.

This shows a list of all completed bank reconciliations, in the order they are completed. From here, you can see the starting and closing balances for each reconciliation.

How do we calculate the starting balance?

  1. Each time you start a new bank reconciliation we add up all reconciled transactions. This makes up the Starting Balance.
  2. The Starting Balance is always the total value of all reconciled transactions, up to the statement date. It isn’t the end balance from your last reconciliation.
  3. When you delete or edit a reconciled transaction, we update the starting balance the next time you reconcile.

View a completed bank reconciliation

  1. Go to Banking, and open the relevant bank account.

  2. Select the Reconciliations tab.

  3. Select the relevant reconciliation from the list to open it.

The top of the page shows the opening and closing balance at the time. We don't update these, even when you delete previously reconciled transactions.

Corrected transactions

These are transactions that you either edited or deleted after you completed the reconciliation.

  • Removed from reconciliation: These are transactions that you deleted

  • Corrected: These are transactions that you edited and now need to reconcile again
