What should be inside the .SAJ folder?

  1. Inside the SAJ folder, you should have 4 folders and 13 files.
  2. The 4 folders are #innodb_temp, mysql, performance_schema and simply
  3. The 13 files are #ib_16384_0.dblwr, #ib_16384_1.dblwr, auto.cnf, errorlog.txt, ib_buffer_pool, ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, ibdata1, mysql.ibd, private_key.pem, public_key.pem, undo_001 and undo_002

Find the .SAJ folder:

  1. Open the company
  2. Go to File and Properties.
  3. Select the hyperlink for your company's data Location.
  4. Click on the company's SAJ folder.
  5. If duplicate or unneeded files are found, remove them.
  6. Look for any *.CAB files or other files that do not belong such as JPG, PNG, MP4, etc. Move those files out of the company's data folder to another folder to decrease your data size.
  7. Check the size of errorlog.txt. If the file is abnormally large, errorlog.txt can be deleted and Sage will re-create a new file. This file can get large if previous versions of the Sage 50 Transaction Manager are running in Services. Disable all previous versions, if needed.
    • With the file open, try doing a Save A Copy on to the Desktop and check the original and copy errorlog.txt file size and see if it drops in size
    • If the original file errorlog.txt drops in size, delete the desktop copy
    • Practice opening and closing the original data file and verify the errorlog.txt is not inflated in size any longer
