| | Grouping assets without common fields |
| Cause | Group sorts will ignore multiple is not statements. Excessive System Number is statements can also cause problems in a group sort. Multiple is not statements for the same field will cancel each other out and the group will include all assets. |
| Resolution | Workaround: - Find an unused field in the general information section and use this field as the common field. Sage Fixed Assets have 10 custom fields to choose from.
- Go to Edit, Replace to add a common value into the field.
- Create a group based on that field.
Example: - In your company, you're not using Custom Field 10 on any assets.
- You enter Custom Field 10 with the word Test on the assets needed.
- In Customize, Group manager, you make a group with the Field Criteria to find those assets:
- Look in: "Custom Field 10"
- Select an Operator: "is"
- Find What: "Test"
