| | Which cloud syncing service should I integrate with Sage 50?: Sage Business Cloud Accounting vs Remote Data Access |
| Resolution | Option 1 - Remote Data Access: - This option allows you to have a permanent Sage 50 data file located on a PC and you can share your data with any other Sage 50 user provided they have a Sage 50 Cloud or Accountants Edition (SAN subscription)
- Remote Data Access (RDA) is a data sharing portal only
- This service requires the Sage 50 user to always have a reliable live internet connection
- You will not be able to open your shareable Sage 50 data unless you have a internet connection
- When using Remote Data Access, always turn on the automatic backup and set it to Daily
Option 2 - Sage Business Cloud Accounting or Sage Accounting (formerly Sage One) - This option allows you to have a permanent Sage 50 data file located on a PC
- While you are away from the Sage 50 data computer, you can then log on to the Sage Business Cloud Accounting website or iOS / Android app and enter transactions
- When you get back to the Sage 50 data computer, then you click on a Download Transactions button and all 'mobile' transactions will be downloaded into Sage 50
- Initial setup and mapping of Sage 50 accounts into Sage One is required by calling 1-800-873-7282
- This option does not require Sage 50 to always have an internet connection
- Multiple users are able to use the Sage Business Cloud Accounting version (not Sage One Start) platform. When finished, you can log into Sage 50 and download all transactions
- An internet connection is only needed on the Sage 50 side when clicking on the Download Transactions button
- Sage Accounting mobile invoicing is capable to enter all kind of transactions with the exception of payroll
