Copy Module Data Between Company Codes Except General Ledger and Common Information
Description

The Copy function in Company Maintenance automatically includes Common Information (C/I) and General Ledger (G/L) when you copy any other module. You can’t copy just one module, like Payroll (P/R) or Sales Order (S/O), without also copying C/I and G/L.

Use a third, temporary company code to hold C/I and G/L information from the destination company:

  1. Open Library Master, then go to Main menu and select Company Maintenance.
  2. Create a new temporary company code that’s different from the Source and Destination codes.
  3. Copy only Common Information and General Ledger from the Destination code to the temporary company code.
  4. Copy the desired modules plus Common Information and General Ledger from the Source code to the Destination code.
  5. Copy back only Common Information and General Ledger from the temporary company code to the Destination code.
  6. Delete the temporary company code when you’re done.

Review how to use the Copy feature of Company Maintenance for more information.
