• Due to various reasons, some folders or files might accidentally move to SAJ. This creates file opening issues
• Third-party synchronization programs will have a conflict with Sage 50 and create duplicate files within the SAJ folder

Folder structure and contents

The best way to confirm what should be in the SAJ folder is by comparing it to the sample company SAJ.

Version 2023 and higher

• There are four folders and 13 files inside the SAJ folder
• The four folders are #innodb_temp, mysql, performance_schema and simply
• The 13 files are #ib_16384_0.dblwr, #ib_16384_1.dblwr, auto.cnf, errorlog.txt, ib_buffer_pool, ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, ibdata1, mysql.ibd, private_key.pem, public_key.pem, undo_001 and undo_002

Version 2018-2022

• There are four folders and six files inside the SAJ folder
• The four folders are mysql, simply, performance_schema and sys
  • mysql - 61 files
  • performance_schema - 88 files
  • simply - 300 files or more depending on version and years of financial history
  • sys - 105 files
• The six files are auto.cnf, errorlog.txt, ib_buffer_pool, ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, and ibdata1

Version 2014-2017

• There are three folders and five files inside the SAJ folder
• The three folders are mysql, performance_schema and simply
  • mysql - 80 files
  • performance_schema - 53 files
  • simply - 300 files or more depending on version and years of financial history
• The five files are auto.cnf, errorlog.txt, ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, and ibdata1

 Version 2008-2013

• There are two folders and four files inside the SAJ folder 
• The two folders are mysql and simply
  • mysql - 54 files
  • simply - 300 files or more depending on version and years of financial history
• The four files are errorlog.txt, ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1, and ibdata1

What to look for

• You'll have trouble opening the data file if you're missing any file other than auto.cnf or errorlog.txt from the SAJ. Restoring from backup in this case
• If you have another SAJ inside the SAJ folder, remove this folder
• If you have extra folders inside SAJ, such as the Sage 50 Accounting Installer Files, remove them
• Remove any extra files inside the SAJ folder such as
  • .CAB backups
  • File names containing the word 'conflict:'. For example, ibdata1 (Copie de Joe conflict 2012-09-27) or ibdata1 (Joe's conflicted copy 2013-01-09)
  • Duplicate files, such as accounts (1).frm, simplygroupmembership (2).frm, ibdata1 (2)
