 NOTE: Upgrade to a higher payroll tier if the number of employees is above your limit. Contact Customer Sales at 1-888-261-9610. 

Verify that you have the latest version of Sage 50

  • You must have the latest version of Sage 50 installed before going through these steps
  • Go to Help, Upgrade Your Sage 50 Product, and click OK

Error occurs when creating a paycheque

  1. Count your active employees by selecting Payroll, Employees, View Employees.
  2. Click the Reports menu.
  3. Click Employee List.
  4. Deselect Include inactive employees.
  5. The employee count appears at the end of the report.
  6. Verify that the number of employees is below the number specified on your payroll plan.
  7. If the number is above your limit, deactivate or terminate employees who no longer work for you.
  8. If the number is above your limit but all employees listed are active, contact Customer Sales at 1-888-261-9610.

Error occurs when creating an employee

  1. Go to Help, Update Service Plan.
  2. Verify your Account ID is correct.
  3. Select Check service plan.
  4. Click OK on the message and click Done.

Error occurs when printing T4s

  1. Click the red X on the top right of the window or OK to bypass the error.
  2. Continue to print the T4's.
