Data center number not entered Someone may not have entered the data center number. Verify the data center number contains information. An error due to a line in the transfer of upload file - The bank error message relates to a line in the upload file. Ensure the line matches others in the file
- Ensure that the date and account number are correct
- Check that all the information is on one line and hasn't wrapped to the second line. You can edit the line in Notepad and resend to your bank
- If the error refers to the first line or the last line, contact Sage 50 Accounting Technical Support at 1-888-522-2722
Though data fields are continuous with no spaces, each line contains the employee or company name, cheque date, cheque amount and bank account number. Verify: - All the files have a header record in the first line and a trailer record in the last line
- All the files are ASCII or ANSI-based files
- The files are the right size, ie.80byte files etc.
Bank Outout file Edit the DAT file in Notepad (don’t use a word processor). If a particular format doesn’t work, try the CPA standard. - Choose your bank output file from the list below.
- The files originally had a DAT extension.
- We renamed the files with a TXT extension to open and easily view them in Notepad.
