| Resolution | Follow these steps to set up or maintain pricing and understand the hierarchy. The Item Pricing Hierarchy is as follows from highest to lowest. -
Sales Promotion - Highest priority if active and offers a lower price
- Set up in Inventory Management, Sales Promotion Maintenance

Customer Price Schedule (Customer Pricing) - Contract pricing for specific customers and items
- Access via Inventory Management, Item Maintenance, More, Pricing, then Customer Price Schedule
- Or via Accounts Receivable, Customer Maintenance, More Items, then Pricing
- Pricing Methods include Cost Markup Amount, Cost Marking %, Price Discount Amount, Price Discount %, Price Override
- Quantity Breaks are available for price levels

Item Pricing (Alphanumeric Price Level). - The system matches the customer’s price level and the item's Item Pricing to determine the price
- Set up Item Pricing in Inventory Management, Item Maintenance, More, Pricing, Item Pricing, then Pricing Option
- Pricing Methods include Cost Markup Amount, Cost Marking %, Price Discount Amount, Price Discount %, Price Override
- Quantity Breaks are available for price levels
- Assign Price Levels via Accounts Receivable, Customer Maintenance, then Additional

Item Pricing (Standard Price Level). - The system uses a standard price level if the customer doesn't have a price level assigned
- Or, when no match between the customer's price level and the item's price level
- Set up Item Pricing via Inventory Management, Item Maintenance, More, Pricing, then Pricing Option
- Create a blank price level in Item Pricing Maintenance
- Pricing Methods include Cost Markup Amount, Cost Marking %, Price Discount Amount, Price Discount %, Price Override
- Quantity Breaks are available
- Set up customer's price level via Accounts Receivable, Customer Maintenance, then Additional

Price Code (Alphanumeric Price Level). - Pricing by price code assigned to items or product lines
- You can assign the price code as a default for new items in a product line
- Used if there's a match between the customer's price level and the item's price level
- Set up Price Codes via Inventory Management, then Price Code Maintenance
- Quantity Breaks are available
- Assign the customer's price levels via Accounts Receivable, Customer Maintenance, then Additional
- Assign the default price code for a Product Line via Inventory Management, then Product Line Maintenance
