[BCB:1:Backup warning:ECB] Important information Enabling Audit Setup Activity (ASA) gives direct access to restricted balance and amount fields. This global setting opens these fields to all users, except Application Administrator-only fields. If you use Sage 300 CRE Security, we recommend you restrict access to ASA. Verify this option is the only way to correct a balance or amount before you use it. The Print Audit Activity prints a record of the changes made in setup windows. While checked, all users will receive a prompt to print the report when they access setup windows. Audit setup activity isn’t available in Estimating, Inventory, Purchasing, or Service Management. CAUTION: Don’t use Audit Setup Activity to correct errors. Complete error correction through normal processing. Change totals with Audit Setup Activity only to match existing transactions. Don’t use the Audit Setup Activity tool to add, modify, or correct totals without matching transactions. If totals don’t match detail, transaction-based reports won’t match master total reports. Other processes, like Aatrix reporting, use master totals and transaction records to complete forms. If you change a master record, the update doesn’t flow to reports. Turn on Audit Setup Activity - Access the Audit Setup Activity setting.
- Accounting application: Go to Tools and Options
- Sage Desktop: Go to Common Tasks, Tools, Options
