How to find Customers, Vendors, Employees by phone number without entering the phone number formatting

Cause

Sage 50 automatically formats the phone number in the records therefore, you must create a new field for telephone number in the additional info.

 

Resolution

1: Setup the new field

  • Click on Setup, Settings
      • Go to Vendors & Purchases (Payables) or Customers & Sales (Receivables) or Payroll
        • Then for Vendors or Customers go to Names and write "Telephone" on one of the field under Additional Info Title
        • For Payroll go to Names
        • Then go to Additional Payroll and enter "Telephone" on a one of the Additional Info Title fields

2: Enter the Tephone number with your own format

  • Go to your Vendors or Customers or Employee informations
    • Open a record
      • Go to the Additional Info tab
      • Enter the phone number with your own format on the new field for Telephone

3: Search using the Quick Search by phone number with you own formatting
