| Description | - When creating a company file, it can be in any of the following editions:
- With the Accountant's Edition, you can open any of the editions
- It’s only possible to open files coming from the same edition or a higher edition. For example:
- Pro data file requires Pro, Premium, or Quantum
- Premium requires Premium or Quantum
- Quantum requires Quantum

| Resolution | Choose one of the following options: Upgrade to a higher edition of Sage 50 - Contact Sales for more information: 1-888-261-9610
- For example, if you're using Sage 50 Pro but the data file is in Premium, upgrade to Premium or Quantum
Create a new company file - Create a new company file in the edition that you have.
- Export records from the original file to the new one.
- You can export accounts, employees, inventory and services, customers, vendors, projects, and the chart of accounts
- Transaction details won’t be transferable
