Error happens when connecting to a shared company

Use the Select an existing company option.

Toggle the Language

Toggle the language back and forth on the welcome screen between English and French a couple of times. 

Check the Internet service

  • Check the Internet speed using a website such as speedtest.net.
  • Upload/download speeds must be at least 25mbps; minimum upload/download speeds of 10mbps.

Update the computer Region, Date, and Time

  1. Go to the Start menu on your computer, open the Control Panel, then Region.
  2. Set the Format to English (Canada).
  3. Set Short date format as mm dd yyyy or yyyy mm dd. Don’t set it as dd mm yy.
  4. In Windows 10, select Internet Time Settings under Additional Settings.
    • In Windows 11, select Settings Time & Language.
  5. Select the Synchronize with an Internet time server checkbox.
  6. Click Update now, then OK.
  7. Open your company file again.

Auto time set

  1. Right-click on the date and time in the Windows taskbar.
  2. Select Adjust date/time.
  3. Change the Set time automatically radio button to On.

Create a new Windows user

  1. Create a new Windows user profile.
  2. Open the file using the new Windows profile.
  3. If the file opens, consider backing up and resetting Windows with the assistance of an IT professional.

Check for a service outage

  1. Check status.sage.com for outages.
  2. Try again later if there's a downgrade in service.

Restart the modem and router

  1. Restart your modem and router at the same time.
  2. If you are on WIFI, disconnect and reconnect.
