Section 1: De-activate PLDRlLL.Connect COM Add-in in Excel - Open Excel.
- Select Options, and then select Add-Ins.
- On the Manage pane, select COM Add-ins.
- Click Go.
- Disable PLDRlLL.Connect.
- Click OK.
- Verify you can generate the report without errors.
Section 2: To fix the formula issue - In Sage 50, click Setup, User preferences, Option.
- Choose English for Microsoft Excel language.
- Click OK.
Section 3: To fix the issue regarding numbers showing up as text with the green little triangles - Set Sage 50's decimals and thousands separators. In Sage 50, click Setup, Settings, Company, Currency.
- Set comma and thousands separators to the following formats:
- English: 1,000,000.00
- French: 1 000 000.00
- Close Sage 50.
- Set Windows decimals and thousands separators by going to Windows Control Panel.
- If you see Clock, Language and Region then click it else skip this.
- Click Region and Language.
- Keep (or change) language option to French (Canada).
- Click Additional settings.
- In the Numbers tab, update the comma and thousands separators.
- Click the Currency tab.
- Update the comma and thousands separators.
- Click OK.
Note: Set Microsoft Excel's decimals and thousands separators - Excel derives its number formats from the settings in the Regional and Language Options control panel.
- If it doesn't seem to use the Windows settings, you also need to follow the instructions below to update the settings in Excel:
- For Excel 2010 and 2013:
- On the main menu of Excel, click File, Options
- In the Excel Options screen, click Advanced
- Choose to Use system separators or choose the Decimal and Thousands separator that you want to use
- Excel 2007
- Excel 2003
- If changes were applied to the Region and Language settings in Windows Control Panel by following the steps above, the computer needs to be rebooted.
- Open Sage 50 and test the export of a report to Microsoft Excel.
