| | Error: "The file path\*.sfm is a Sage 50 Form template file. You cannot overwrite a Sage 50 Form template" when I am trying to save a customized form. |
| Cause | This error comes up when you try to Save over a template. |
| Resolution |
- If you still have the error message box, then click OK.
- Click on File, Save As.
- An explorer pop-up window appears.
- In it, Sage 50 will default to the location of Sage 50 premade default forms.
- This location will be overwritten when there is a product update for Sage 50, erasing your customize form, therefore Sage does not recommend saving custom forms into the default forms location.
- Instead, please browse to another location (such as My Documents).
- Enter a new File Name.
- Click Save.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
