Adding data from QuickBooks® to an existing Sage 50 file

Export from QuickBooks

  1. Open your company in QuickBooks.
  2. Select File, Utilities, Export, then Lists to IIF Files.
  3. From the Export window, select an item to export. Sage 50 common import list files are Customer ListVendor List, and Employee List.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Save the file in a known location with the appropriate name.
  6. Repeat Step 1 to select and save each item one at a time.

Import lists into Sage 50 Accounting 

  1. Open your Sage 50 company in single-user mode.
  2. Select File, Import/Export, then Import Records.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Select QuickBooks.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Create a backup of your data before importing.
  7. Choose the item you want to import.
  8. Browse to the location of your exported IIF files from QuickBooks.
  9. Choose all that apply in the same window.
  10. Select Next to start the import process.
  11. Select OK.
  12. Select Finish to complete the process.
