How to update sales tax codes

Resolution
  1. Go to View and click Close All Other Sage 50 Windows.
  2. Log in as the sysadmin in Single-User mode.
  3. Go to Setup, Settings, Company, Sales Taxes, then Tax Codes.
  4. Click and update the Description line as needed.

  5. Click the magnifying glass next to the tax code in question to open the Tax Code Details window.
  6. To set the status, click the magnifying glass beside Status.
  7. Select Taxable, Non-Taxable, or Exempt.
  8. Press OK.
  9. To change the rate, click the Rate column and update the number.

  10. Click OK to exit the Tax Code Details window.
  11. Repeat the steps to update each tax code that includes the changed tax.
  12. Click OK to exit the Settings window and save changes.
