The following is a list of common problematic printers. - Double-click the Add Printer icon to start the Add Printer Wizard.
- Click Next . The wizardwill prompt you to select "local" or "network" printer. Make the selection appropriate to your system and click Next .
- Choose the appropriate port (usually LPT1 or USB) and click Next .
- It now prompts you to select the printer manufacturer on the left side of the window. On the right side is a list of available printer drivers for that manufacturer. Select the driver you wish to install and click Next .
- This displays the printer model name (which you can change or leave as is) and has a selection for default printer. Choose No so that it does not become the default, then click Next.
- If prompted to share the printer on the network click Yes or No according to your preference.
- The final screen asks to print a test page. Choose Yes since that will confirm communication with the printer, then click Finish.
- The printer driver is now installed. The Add Printer Wizard closes and returns to the Printers and Faxes folder. An icon for the installed printer is now shown in the folder. You may add another printer at this point, or close the folder.
Once the printer driver has been installed, open Simply Accounting and click Setup, Reports & Forms. Click the appropriate tab depending on your problem, e.g. Invoices, Cheques or Reports and select the newly installed printer driver. |
