- Make sure Sage 50 is open.
- Go to File, Properties, and note the name and the location of your file.
- Close Sage 50.
- Click on the Windows Start button.
- Select Programs, then Sage, then Sage 50 that corresponds to the version you are currently using.
- Click on Company File Check & Repair.
- When the next window appears click on the browse button and navigate to the location you noted earlier.
- Once you find the file, double click on the company file with the .sai extension (if there is no file extension, double click on the file without the extension). The file should be 1kb in size and file type is Sage 50 Data File.
- Select the option for Advance check & repair.
- Be patient as this takes a few moments depending on the size of your file.
- As the utility is working, if it finds errors it will prompt you to fix them.
- Click Yes to fix.
- Once the task is complete, you will see the Company File Check & Repair window again. The Company File Check & Repair is now finished and can be closed with the close button X.
