Easy Print will register or list every printer on the network redirected through each possible user.  This results in the list showing the number of printers times the number of users.  

 EXAMPLE: If there are ten users and five printers, the selection list will show 50 printer redirects.

Make a backup of your registry

1. Go to Windows Start menu and select Run.
2. Type Regedit and click OK.
   • Don’t run the Regedit as administrator since the change is under CURRENT USER
   • If run as an administrator, it won't change anything for the current user
3. Back up the Registry by going to File, Export.
   • Set the Export Range to All
   • Export to an easily found location, like the root of the C:\\ drive or Desktop
   •  CAUTION: Don't skip this step.  Any mistakes in editing the Registry can severely damage your operating system. Any issues will be unrepairable without this backup

Rename the PrinterPorts key in the registry editor

1. Locate the printer port key in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PrinterPorts].
2. Rename the key to PrinterPorts Old by right-clicking and select Rename.
   
   

Create a new PrinterPorts key

1. Right-click in the CurrentVersion folder and select New, Key. 
   
2. A new key creates with the name New Key #1.  Right-click on the New Key #1 and select Rename from the menu and rename to PrinterPorts.

1. This hive will regenerate the printer list, so this will be an ongoing problem.
2. Create a script to clear out the hive regularly. 

Refresh the printer list in Sage 50 Accounting

1. Close the registry and reopen the Sage 50 Accounting program to refresh the printer list. The refreshing of the hive can take up to 5 minutes.
2. If you have multiple users, repeat the same procedure for every user.
