Important Information

  1. You can’t delete ledger accounts after creation. You can only exclude them from the chart of accounts.
  2. Ledger account numbers must be numerical.
  3. The maximum length for a ledger account number is eight digits, including the category digit.
  4. Use 6-digit ledger numbers for the best results.

Additional Information

When you post transactions or create invoices, Sage Accounting suggests ledger accounts based on the entered information. This helps determine which ledgers are valid options.
