How to invite clients to use Accounting in the Accountant Edition

Inviting new clients

  1. Sign in to your Accounting Accountant Edition.
  2. In the Active Clients tab, select Invite Client.
  3. Enter the required client information, then select Next.
  4. Choose Accounting or Accounting Start for the client service.
  5. Select Subscribe, then select Next.
  6. Review the client name, email address, and selected service.
  7. Select Invite Client to send the invitation.
If you set up the account for the client, you receive the invitation email. After setup completes, the client appears in the Active Clients tab.

Inviting existing clients 

  1. Sign in to your Accounting Accountant Edition.
  2. In the Active Clients tab, select Invite Client.
  3. Select Yes – Client pays for Subscription.
  4. Enter the client information.
  5. Under Invite my Client, select Try Sage Accounting.
  6. Under Invitation Format, select Send the invitation to my client.
  7. Select Accounting or Accounting Start as the service.
  8. Select Subscribe, then select Next.

CAUTION:

Selecting the invitation format doesn’t create a new subscription.

After completion, the system emails the invitation to the client. Until acceptance, the client appears in the Invited Clients tab.

Client acceptance steps

  1. The client opens the invitation email.
  2. The client selects Sign In on the confirmation page.
  3. The client enters the required information and signs in.

After completion, the client appears in the Active Clients tab.
